Postcards aren’t just a way to express your love and you deep care for someone yet they are a soul’s language every detail every single color the way we decorate them it’s like saying hey i care a lot about you i can spend hours making a postcard for you much better than a stupid message
i feel like sending a postcard is basically like writing a little love letter to someone. when i write on postcards for my friends, i just put whatever i want to say — my best wishes for them, my hopes for their future, and all the little things in between.
i also try to match the vibe of the card with the person receiving it, like it becomes something really personal and intentional.
and now that i’m designing my own postcards, i feel like i’m adding even more layers and details into that process. it’s definitely brain-scratching at times, but it’s also really satisfying.
i know a lot of our connections today happen online through chatting, which is still beautiful in its own way. but i also feel like having some physical traces — like postcards — is really important.
it becomes an anchor in our analog life, something we can return to again and again 💕
